Hi everyone! To celebrate the beginning of 2025, we've been offering 25 of our color-themed chess tactics for free – little by little – over the last several weeks. This is week #6 – our last week! Keep your Dacha instincts sharp.

Tactic #98 - "Classic light faith."
A juicy tactic I came across. The color money is palpable with white being +1000 light and -1000 dark. It would seem that black's f7 brick is the last vestige of light resistance. How to break through? Is your answer correct?

Tactic #97 - "Unlocking the gates."
A cool position I saw in a game, with the tricky GM Daniel Naroditsky manning the black pieces. We are down a rook, but lots of pressure on the white king. And the color money? Well leaving the rook deficit aside, we have a golden dark bishop vs light – bishop so +1000 dark. While the knee-jerk reaction is to deal with the attack of our queen, let's also look for potential dark opportunities... Is your answer correct?

Tactic #96- "Dark medley."
A classic puzzle with some unique twists. Thinking of the color ideas gives it more flavor and can offer guidance too! We are down 3 pawns but looking to hold on. And color money? We are ahead on dark by 1000$, with a fancy golden dark bishop. Black's queen and king are both on dark, so that bodes well for us. There aren't many pieces either so maybe just maybe there are stalemate tricks in the air... Is your answer correct?

Tactic #95- "Dark surprise - not a coincidence."
An elegant tactic I found from NM Sam Copeland who displayed this as his best move. We are slightly behind in material but ahead on dark with a golden dark bishop. Our rook on g1 is proud on the open file and tickles important dark squares. Let's find the dark knockout! Is your answer correct?
