We have added 1 new color-themed Dacha tactic since our last newsletter! Have you been keeping up with your sparring practice?

If you haven't been keeping up, here's an interesting tactic that we call "Sleeping Bishop"

IM Yaacov's Hint: A cool Budapest gambit from a recent game of mine. Everything has gone dandy, and we have a beautiful "sleeping" golden light bishop on the 6th rook, tightening the noose around the white King. Despite looking pretty, we need some assistance to finish the job. Classically, this will come in the form of dark. Find the knockout blow!

Not a Dacha Harmony or Dacha Tactics Club member? Well, this week's free tactic is an oldie, but goodie. Try to solve "Another smooth dark knockout."

IM Yaacov's hint: Here the material is equal, with a slightly more compact pawn structure for black. And how's the color $? The imbalance is knight vs light bishop, which means we are behind on light but ahead on dark. This should serve us well on d4. Also, with the queens facing off on dark, it's time to get our Dacha juices starting to flow and look for further dark weaknesses. This is a very interesting one and will take a bit of Dacha courage! Check to see if your answer is correct!
